Animatic for "Wrestle!"
Here is an animatic for "Wrestle!", an animated short where a kid is recalling watching his mother wrestle in the first ever wrestling match he watched. This animatic is focused more on the action, but also the connection between the son and the mother while the mother is in the ring. That connection is something that pushes the mother to overcome her opponent and attempt to win the match.
Animatic for "Illuminator"
Here is an animatic for "Illuminator", a college student who was given the power of light in a dark, terror filled campus. In this story, he has pushed away the first person he has truly became close with, who has lived in his head ever since he got his powers. In this scene, he begs for him back, as his friends are in danger and they are the only people who can save them.

Welcome to my storyboarding section of my portfolio! You will be seeing a mixture of rough versions of storyboards, animatics, and their corresponding final products. I have been developing a love for storyboarding ever since my first storyboard for a small project in one of my sketching classes, and I would love to continue to work on my skills and become a better storyboard artist.
Storyboard for "Wrestle!"
This storyboard is almost a prequel to a young wrestler's story, as he is watching his mother wrestle in person for the first time in his life, which inspires him to want to become one himself in the future. The match has yet to begin, and we can see tension rise between Ms. Wild and her opponent, T-Roxen. From there, the action begins.
Storyboard for "Illuminator"
This storyboard is for a future animatic featuring "The Illuminator" a hero that is also an isolated college student. This scene brings in emotion as the student begs for the Bulb, the physical interpretation of his powers, to return to him after warding him off. I wanted to introduce light as a major piece of this scene, as it represents the character escaping from his own darkness to find and pursue his purpose in life.
(I also created the actual camera movement in this animation using Maya!)
Storyboard for Egbert (A 3D animated short)
This storyboard from Egbert is the most recent storyboard I have made. For this project, the focus was Egbert, and I revolved my camera work around that. You can see, from the storyboard to the final product, that some camera work was changed to adapt to what changes were implemented in the scene and animation, but the focus was never lost.
Storyboard for a scene from RedRang (A personal project)
This is a small scene that I created while working on one of my personal projects titled "RedRang". The character is a superhero who priorities the use of boomerangs in his fights against evil. He is also accompanied by a mentor that is embodied from his powers.
This scene would be a small training session where the mentor in his head is teaching the hero the basics on his powers, while also capturing some of their characteristics in the dialogue between the two.
Storyboard for The Swordsman (A 2D animated short)
This is a storyboard I made for one of my final projects in 2D animation. Due to the length of the animation being limited, I wanted to capture as much emotion as I could in this scene alone. In the story, the swordsman just lost a brother in a previous battle, and while the swordsman is mourning, the villain who has knowledge of the battle now goes after the swordsman and the swordsman prepares for battle. In these shots, I tried to create more suspense and drama, from the zooms into the tombstone of his lost brother to the zoom in of the swordsman's raw emotion when the villain mentions his lost brother.
